Binoculars under $300 that don't feel like a downgrade
Compared against the $1000 pairs my birding friends won't stop bringing up. None of these embarrassed themselves at the feeder or in the field.

the one I actually recommend when people ask. focus wheel is fast, edge sharpness holds up scanning a flock (lifer! twice with this pair)

wider field of view than the Monarch, which honestly matters more than raw sharpness when you're new. lifetime warranty if you drop it too.
