Terms of Service

ListDrop is a place to collect lists worth keeping and follow the ones you love. These terms are the deal between you and ListDrop when you use it. The short version: your lists are yours, be decent, and we'll do the same.

Your account

You need an account to create lists. Keep your sign-in details to yourself — you're responsible for what happens under your handle. You must be at least 13 (or the minimum age to use online services where you live). One human per account; no impersonating people or organizations.

Your content

Everything you post — lists, items, notes, comments, suggestions — stays yours. By posting it you give us the license we need to run the product: hosting it, showing it to the people you've made it visible to, and distributing public content (including to search engines and in embeds).

Two things are part of how ListDrop works, so posting public content means agreeing to them: public lists can be forked(copied into someone else's account, with attribution back to yours), and public lists accept suggestions from others unless you turn that off per list.

Private lists are visible only to you and the people you explicitly share them with. Shared collaborators can edit — share with people you trust.

What you can't do

• Post anything illegal, or content you don't have the right to share.
• Harass, threaten, or target other people.
• Spam — bulk accounts, bulk follows, link-scheme lists, referral bait.
• Scrape the service at abusive rates or work around rate limits.
• Probe, break, or overload the service's security.

We can remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. We'd rather not — the report button on lists, comments and profiles is the front door for problems.

Leaving

You can delete your account any time (avatar menu → Edit profile → Delete account). Deletion is immediate and permanent: your lists, comments, follows and checkmarks are removed, not archived. Forks of your public lists made by other people are their copies and remain theirs.

The service itself

ListDrop is provided as-is, free of charge, without warranties of any kind. We work to keep it fast and available, but we can't promise uninterrupted service, and to the maximum extent permitted by law we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages from using it. We may change or discontinue features; if we ever discontinue the service entirely, we'll give you a reasonable chance to export what's yours.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll say so on the site before it takes effect. Continuing to use ListDrop after that means you accept the updated terms.
