Java fern (Microsorum pteropus)
Tie it to driftwood, don't bury the rhizome or it rots. Slowest grower here, that's the whole point.
2
Anubias barteri var. nana
3
Cryptocoryne wendtii
melts hard the first two weeks after replanting. leave it alone, it comes back thicker
4
Vallisneria spiralis
Runners everywhere within a month, thin it before it eats the back half of the tank.
5
Bacopa caroliniana
6
Java moss (Taxiphyllum barbieri)
Attaches to anything on its own in a couple weeks. Trims are basically free plants.
7
Amazon sword (Echinodorus bleheri)
8
Hornwort (Ceratophyllum demersum)
the one nobody lists, loose stems aren't 'aesthetic'. eats nitrates fastest, wins the algae race. (quarantine new fish), hitchhikes snails
