hospital pillows are cardboard. bring color so it doesn't get left behind

backup peri bottle

they give you one, it's not enough, buy a second before you go

going-home outfit for you

not the one you packed at 8 months. you are not that size yet and that's fine

overnight pads, the long ones

swaddle blankets (2)

car seat, installed and checked before your due date

we used this daily starting hour one, do not leave this for the morning you're discharged

insurance card and ID, same pocket every time

a book

never opened it. two years later still haven't

extra phone battery pack

this is the one thing i'd double up on next time, we used this daily
