🪛The power tools I still reach for, three years into this house

1962 house, endless punch list. This is what survived, not what I bought first.

01
still the original tool, on its second set of batteries. this is the one I'd replace first if it died.
02
on a different battery platform than my drill, which I regret. buy into one system if you can.
03
cheap and it just works. not the tool I'd brag about but it's out more weekends than anything else.
04
Kreg K4 pocket-hole jig
not really a power tool but it's why I started building built-ins instead of buying furniture, closet shelving included.
05
does double duty as dust collection and the actual shop vac for spills. loud though.
06
a cheap cordless oscillating multi-tool from the hardware store
battery died for good after year two, never replaced it. wouldn't buy again, would rather rent one for the one job that needs it.
07
corded work light on a stand
08
a stud finder that lasted about two months before it started lying to me
swapped it for a cheaper one that's somehow been more accurate for a year straight.

Or start a list of your own. Free, it takes a minute.
