every ghibli movie ranked (rewatchability, not vibes)

watched this more than any other on here and it still gets me at the bathhouse scene. just correct at #1, no debate.

least flashy Ghibli, and the one I rewatch second most. Shizuku's arc hits different once you're actually making something.

the slump where she loses her powers is the whole point and somehow it's still the part people skip past when they talk about it.

technically pre-Ghibli, the studio didn't exist yet, but it's on every filmography for a reason.

the back half kind of falls apart plot-wise if you think about it too hard, but the castle itself carries the whole rewatch.

I know people expect this near the top. great movie, I just don't reach for it the way I do the others - a lot to sit through twice.
