xx - The xx (2010)

the debut, hushed and spare the whole way through, this was the sound of that entire year of indie

Let England Shake - PJ Harvey (2011)

her second win, she also took it in 2001 for Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea

An Awesome Wave - alt-J (2012)

Overgrown - James Blake (2013)

Dead - Young Fathers (2014)

genuine underdog, most people had Royal Blood or FKA twigs picked that year, this Edinburgh trio came out of nowhere for a lot of listeners

At Least for Now - Benjamin Clementine

Konnichiwa - Skepta (2016)

Process - Sampha (2017)

wrote most of it about his mother's death, start with (No One Knows Me) Like the Piano

Visions of a Life - Wolf Alice (2018)

Psychodrama - Dave (2019)

KIWANUKA - Michael Kiwanuka (2020)

his third record, side two never lets up once Hero kicks in

Collapsed in Sunbeams - Arlo Parks (2021)

Sometimes I Might Be Introvert - Little Simz (2022)

Inflo produced it, the scope on this is bigger than most UK rap gets to be

jazz basically never wins this, big deal that it did

This Could Be Texas - English Teacher (2024)

People Watching - Sam Fender (2025)
