Is there a payment schedule, and what happens if I need to cancel

get it in writing, a verbal 'don't worry about it' means nothing in month 11

Do you carry liability insurance

What's your backup plan if you're sick or unavailable that day

every good vendor has an answer ready, if they look surprised that's your answer too

How many hours does this cover, and what's the overtime rate

When do you need final numbers and details locked in

earlier than you think, usually 30 days out minimum

Can I see the full contract before I put down a deposit

Who actually shows up on the day, you or someone on your team I haven't met

ask this one twice if the first answer is vague

What's the refund policy if the wedding gets postponed

How soon after the wedding do I get the final product

Are there hidden fees - travel, setup, gratuity

add these up before comparing two quotes, they're never the same list of extras

Can you give me a reference from a wedding in the last year, not five years ago

What happens if equipment breaks or something goes wrong on site

most vendors have a real plan for this, the ones who don't are the ones to worry about

Is this quote in writing, and does it match what we discussed on the call
