🚀star wars watch orders, and who each one is for
release order is for purists. chronological order spoils every twist before it lands. this is machete order, the one that actually works on a first watch

Star Wars: A New Hope (1977)
always start here no matter which order you land on. release order and machete order agree on this one

The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
stop after this one if someone can only handle two. it's the best one anyway, no spoilers here

Attack of the Clones (2002)
skipping Phantom Menace on purpose. machete order treats I-III as one long flashback that starts here

back to the trilogy that started it. everything from the flashback pays off now
